DIY Natural Detox Bath Recipes & Salts

Detox baths  will :

  • speed up the recovery process from a cold, flu
  • ease skin irritations, psoriasis or acne
  • help you relax, meditate, and  alleviate pain

Since skin is the largest organ it is the best way to detox with detox baths.

Preparation :

  • eliminate all toxins, like chemicals, GMOs, MSG, sugar, refined/processed food, dairy, caffeine, fried foods, and saturated fats from your diet
  • stop smoking and drinking
  • this goes for the week before and the week after your cleanse
  • also, try to practice some  yoga or Pilates

Detox Bath Cleanses

  •  epsom salt
  • apple cider vinegar
  • baking soda

 

Detox Bath

1. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) Detox Bath

  • apple cider vinegar detox bath remove toxins naturally, it also ease arthritis flare ups, tendonitis, candida infections, and body odors
  • great to draw out excess uric acid through the skin
  • the temperature of the bath should be as hot as you can tolerate
  • pour 2 cups of ACV into the tub
  • add 5-7 drops of your favorite essential oil (optional)
  • relax  30-minutes
  • do this once a week
  • Note: never add more hot water
  • drink a glass of water
  • towel dry without showering.

2. Epsom Salt Detox Bath

  • epsom salt will soothe aches and pains,
  • it will also increase circulation, lowers blood pressure
  • it will improve nerve function by regulating electrolytes,
  • it will draw out toxins from the body
  • epsom salt is made up of magnesium and sulfur and they get absorbed into the body during the bath.

Preparation:

  • the temperature of the bath should be as hot as you can tolerate.
  • add 2 cups of Epsom salt
  • add 5-7 drops of your favorite essential oil
  • relax  for about 30-minutes
  • do this once a week
  • never add more hot water once you enter into the tub
  • drink a glass of water
  • towel dry without showering

3. Sea Salt or Himalayan Salt Detox Bath

  • sea salts and Himalayan salt regulate water throughout your body and promote a healthy pH balance
  • prevent muscle cramps, improve vascular health, and manage blood pressure.

Preparation :

  • the temperature of the bath should be as hot as you are able to tolerate
  • add 2 cups of sea salt or pink Himalayan Salt
  • add 5-7 drops of essential oil
  • relax for  30-minutes
  • do this once a week
  • never add more hot water once you enter into the tub
  • towel dry without showering
  • drink a glass of water

4. Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) Detox Bath

  • great for digestion, circulating the lactic acid buildup after exercising
  • neutralizes the chlorine that is heavily added to tap water
  • good for colds,the flu, sore throats, skin disorders, and inflammation.

Preparation:

  • the temperature of the bath should be as hot as you are able to tolerate
  • add 2 cups of baking soda
  • relax in the bath for 30-minutes
  • do this once a week
  • never add more hot water once you enter into the tub
  • towel dry without showering
  • drink a glass of water

5. Epsom Salt, Baking Soda & Himalayan Salt Detox Bath

  • are able to regulate the water content throughout your body
  • promote a healthy pH balance in your cells
  • assist in the regeneration of hydroelectric energy in the cells of your body,
  • support respiratory health,
  • improve sinus health,
  • prevent muscle cramps,
  • boost bone strength,
  • stimulate better sleep,
  • and improve vascular health.

Preparation:

  • the temperature of the bath should be as hot as you can handle
  • add 1 cup of Epsom Salt
  • add 1 cup of Baking Soda
  • add 1 cup of Sea Salt
  • add 5-7 drops  essential oil
  • relax in the bath for  30-minutes
  • do this once a week
  • never add more hot water once you enter into the tub
  • towel dry without showering
  • drink a glass of water

Notes:

  • if you are pregnant, diabetic, or have high blood pressure or  cardiac history, consult your doctor
  •  before getting out of the bathtub, stand up slowly to avoid light-headedness
  • if after going out you get a light-headed drink some water and rinse off with some cool water
  • if you have sweated profusely  lightly rinse off with cool water before drying off with a towel
  • drink a tall glass of pure filtered water before going to bed
  • schedule your bath right before bedtime
  • start off slow and let cleansing become part of your everyday routine.
